Logging Miles with the Freedom Convoy!

Yesterday I did one of the coolest things I might ever do. My boyfriend and I logged about 355 miles with the Midwest legs of the Freedom Convoy headed to Washington, DC.

In my past experience trying to organize meetings, charity events, and employee engagement activities I know first hand how hard it is to get human beings organized to do anything. They say it’s like herding cats but I suspect actually herding cats might be easier to do.

But yesterday we saw the absolute best of humanity. Masses of people working in synchronization to support this cause. Miles of vehicles sticking together as routes changed and rain poured. Hundreds of people gathering to cheer for us on overpasses even though we were running over an hour behind schedule. Dozens of volunteers providing goodie bags with snacks and Bibles and cash at rest stops, blessing everyone they encountered.

Donations for the truckers headed to DC filled two trucks and the surplus was dispersed to community shelters as there simply wasn’t room. Keep in mind, this came out of small Iowa communities only. Imagine this same generosity and support being replicated in every state in the nation.

There was prayer. There was cheerfulness. There were children waving flags and dogs just basking in the attention of so many people. There were strangers hugging and sharing. New friends being made. There was an instant bond with people knowing these strangers were in passionate pursuit of freedom together.

It was fun. It was somber. It was heartwarming. It was inspiring. It was extremely cool to be a participant. The media, when they actually give it coverage, say it’s a few people protesting the mandates. But it’s thousands and thousands of people unifying to claim freedom back for this country.

Every mile was historic. I’m so honored to have been a part of this. Praise the Lord for working through all of these great people.

Take a look at my experience!
