Last fall I published my 4th collection of poetry titled Shining Hard. I had gotten in the habit last year of sharing a poem now and then on my blog in lieu of posting to Instagram (which I deleted last summer).
But I have not shared in a while, despite feeling like now more than ever we need to share our passions and the things that make this world better. I have very few creative outlets. I was at the breakfast table yesterday just saying how much of a non creative person I am when I looked over and saw one of my books sitting on the table top. I will not squander what little creativity I have!
We are in a war for our freedom around the world but what will we do with it? I hope we will share happy, uplifting things, the things that bring us to life and the things that show the best side of life and humanity.
So I share with you here a poem from Shining Hard, one of my favorites maybe that I’ve ever written. Whatever I do in my life, I hope in the end, there is nothing left.
